Chance me?

Hello there,
I'm a current freshman at American University, and pretty much dead set on transferring. The school that I would be attempting to transfer into would be Bucknell, but I'm wondering if I would be a good candidate.

I have a 3.3GPA this year with 16 credits(bucknell's website says a 3.2gpa is recommend for consideration)
I was a weaker high school student with a 2.9 unweighted GPA, 5 APs in total. I got a 2090 on my SATs(730cr, 660math, 700writing) In high school I was a debate captain, went to states for debate, and a few other minor extracurriculars. I attended a well-regarded public school as well.

Getting strong recommendations from my college professors would not be a problem either, what do you guys think about my chances?

edit: also got a 700 on US history and 650 on Lit SAT IIs

Your scores are good enough; I am assuming you want to major in the humanities or social sciences?
But your GPA seems a bit weak. Since the high school GPA isn’t strong, this will hurt you a lot more if you decide to apply for sophomore admission instead of junior admission (or second semester sophomore admission, if Bucknell still accepts spring transfers).

So, IMHO, Bucknell would be a reach.

yeah i want to continue with my major of poli sci, i assumed my gpa would hurt me but is the general consesus that i don’t have much of a shot?

Any recommendations to something more plausible?
