Does anyone know how the transfer credit process works? I know about the transfer credit tables…I was wondering though…for dual enrollment HS credits is all that you need to do is have transcripts sent? My daughter has two colleges she has credits at and I’ve sent one of the transcripts, the other college she has active classes at. Will they evaluate and post them to her transcript just based on sending the transcript or do we need to request something? Will they do this before orientation?
I would email the Office of Undergrad Admission AND the Registrar’s Office to confirM since there would not be an advisor assigned yet. For the classes that are still current, I would recommend getting those transcripts sentASAP after the class closes, and hand carrying copies with you to New Student Orientation. If your dau. have APs this year, you will want to request those be sent in May and also hand carry a report. Because all AP credits and DE credits must be officially received and posted by USC before registration for classes (which occurs at Orientation). Otherwise, the advisor will require your student to register for core classes that they may not have to take. It can be changed later, but class a availability may be affected. I forgot to order the APs last year until June and the system was shut down for a few weeks for annual maintenance. We had to hand carry the scores .
