So, I’m currently at my local community college as a freshman. I’ve got nothing but A’s and B’s so far…until now. I’m currently failing my math class. I was doing great in the beginning, I got 90s and 80s on my first couple tests but since then it has gone downhill drastically. I get tutored by my friend who’s good in math and it helps…in the moment. Once the test comes around I BLANK and fail. The homework weighs basically nothing so as all these poor test grades are flooding it, that’s all I’m getting. I plan to retake the course this summer for a grade forgiveness. I was doing my research though and I read on UCONN’s (my top choice to transfer into) site that they do not accept credits from courses that have been repeated. Well, that’s great. Does this completely screw my chances? The class is a Pre-Req. So do they basically just acknowledge that I failed and got no credit and completely ignore my new grade and credit received for passing the second time around? I’m so frustrated and angry with myself, I feel like now all my chances of getting in anywhere have been destroyed because of this stupid class that I’m struggling with and now have to retake. Any advice or experience with this? Thanks.
