I am attending a university that I plan on transferring out of, and I took community college courses to give me a leg up in the admissions office, however, I recently learned that those grades don’t benefit my GPA. If those grades don’t help your GPA, then why do people even try? Will the admissions offices at the schools I’m trying to transfer to even care or notice how well I did in those courses?
When you apply for tranfer, you will need to send the CC trascript as well as the transcript from you current university. The tansfer admissions office will see all of your original grades. So yes, those good CC grades will count! It doesn’t matter at all if your current university didn’t average them into that university’s GPA. The target college/university will take all of your grades into consideration.
