Transfer decision time line

About how long after inputting your transfer application and them receiving your transcripts did you receive a decision?

I’m a fall 2017 transfer from a Florida CC with a 3.81 overall GPA, and majoring in nuclear engineering. Super nervous about getting accepted.

I got 3.89 gpa transferring from austin cc to a&m majoring in electrical engineering. I hope to get it too! :frowning:

Most of the engineering majors pool their applicants so students usually do not find out until after the deadline.

The first thing that happens is that the university has to decide if you have the basic qualifications. If you pass that you will see that your status has been changed to “Referred to college for decision”. The individual colleges have their own evaluation review of the record. There is no set timetable for announcing decisions. Some colleges do it on a rolling basis until they fill their slots. Others wait until they see the whole pool. The process rarely goes past the beginning of April for most applicants.

Completed my online application last week, sent my transcripts and documentation today, my CC transcripts also have just been sent.

Do transfers have to write essays?

Yes they do

Monkey288195 Yeah 2 prompts and had to limit myself to 200 words each. It wasn’t too terrible.

@PBSwany @eehopefully Oh, ok thanks!
