An admissions officer at the University of Texas informed me that a 3.6 was the cutoff GPA.

for junior transfers? crap!

Well i only know very limited information on UNC, UVA, and Iowa from what older friends have told me. I know plenty of kids at ohio state (i'm transferring there myself) and a few have applied to Iowa as transfers. Their gpa was over a 3 and everyone I know that applied got in. (don't know their specifics tho) And I currently go to VA Tech and know plenty of kids who applied as transfers to UNC and UVA. I know my one friend whose a sophmore there with a 3.7 got rejected twice instate. (dont know many kids who got in there like 1 or 2) and I'm yet to meet anyone who got in to UNC transfer. Maybe it's the programs they want that's making it difficult? I konw most of the schools u have want at least a 3.0 gpa some want higher closer to a 3.4 or a 3.5. Good luck wherever your endeavours take you.
