Anyone applying as a transfer to UVa and UNC sound off here!

I am a resident of Virginia and I attend the University of Tennessee. I am not satisfied with my current university because of the social aspect and the distance it is from home. Post here if you're applying to either one of these schools.

I'm not going to lie, I'm extremely nervous about transferring because this is my only chance. I've only been in college for a semester, and I'm only 19, but after this semester I'll be 6 credits away from being a junior. If I don't get into these schools this time, then my dreams are shot. Depressing way to look at it, I know, but UNC and UVa are like tied for my dream schools. Hope I'm not the only one feeling that way.

i have already applied to UNC-Chapel Hill. I think we get our decisions in mid-april and the waiting period is killing me.

i'm thinking of applying to both. From california.

I live in IL and UVA and UNC are my top choices too. Even though I am applying about 12 different schools all over the country, they are definately the most favorable.
Anyways, what GPA do applicants applying those two schools have? I mean transfer students...OK
and what other colleges are you applying to?

I have already applied to UNC, UVa, Virginia Tech, and my back is JMU (but I have no desire to go there). Lord I hope I get into UNC!

i feel ya volman, i'm a junior too. I've applied to 3 UC's and USC.. thinking about applyign to UNC and UVA as well.

i applied to upenn, umich-ross, UNC-CHAPEL HILL, indiana-bloomington

and they're in the order in which i would attend if i did get accepted. upenn being first choice, and so on..

Yeah I applied to UVA.. I also applied to Tech and JMU but id really like to get into UVA.

I'm applying to UNC-Chapel Hill. I really, really, really hope I get in.

I applied to UNC Chapel Hill and that is my first choice if accepted.

same here. i feel like it'll be a good match for me. also because penn has like an 8% acceptance rate and umich:ross only admits like 15 external transfers a year.

c'mon CHAPEL HILL! PLEASE let me in!!! :]

Unc Rocks!!!! Go Heels!

unc-ch, umich, penn st, with rutgers as backup

I'm applying to UVA, Virginia Tech, William & Mary and Longwood from a community college. I'll have my AA and I'm in-state. I have a 3.85.

UVA is my absolute #1 choice and it would be amazing if I were accepted.

with a 3.85 you'll most likely get into UVa, unless you are applying for the comm school

3.4+ is a competitive GPA for UVA from a VCCS.

According to the UNC homepage, transfer decisions are posted around April 25.
