Transfer Dilemma

Hey guys!

I already typed this up once, but for some reason, it didn't get posted so now i'm forced to do this all again. Please don't mind my bluntness, for I don't feel like putting in the same amount of effort I put in the first time around since it's late at night (sorry if I sound like i'm whining).

I'm interested in transferring to Berkeley, and according to my CC counselor, I will be able to do so in a year. I have approximately 24 units completed thanks to AP scores, and am currently enrolled in 10 over the summer.

If I apply to Berkeley during the fall, will the admissions office be able to effectively assess my in-class performance based on summer/fall grades? Is it recommended that I stay for another year?

Thank you very much!

If you are able to complete IGETC / Major pre-reqs in two semesters I don’t see why you wouldn’t apply. I’m assuming you will be able to complete at a minimum another 26 units by Summer 2013.

You could always chat with counselors from Cal during college week live to get definite answers.

Yes.

When you apply to UC in the fall, they ask you to list your current courses and your planned spring courses. After you submit your application, you will have to update UC Berkeley with your fall grades and confirmed spring courses.
