I have taken 19 units in community college and I applied as a Junior.
I passed 7 AP tests in high school and am planning on taking 20+ units next semester.

Did I apply too early? Do AP tests add to my units?
If I screwed myself over what can I do to fight for my admission?

Thanks in advance for the help. If more information is needed please ask!

APs will add to the minimum 60 semester units needed to transfer. You’ll need to check the UC’s rules.

Did you meet IGETC or the UC’s GE reqts? Some of these may be by APs.

Did you complete major prereqs? What do you intend to major in?

Are you in state or OOS?

Did you go to your CC’s transfer center for advice?

Check out the UC Transfers forum for more help.

I have completed IGETC although some of the courses I received credit for were through AP tests and I fear UCs may not grant me the same credit.
I took a semester off to decide my major and will be completing major prereqs in the coming months; Cognitive Science.
In-State

Will the AP scores transfer based on which scores the respective colleges accept?
I didn’t get 5’s like Berkeley would expect, so to them is it as if I never took those courses?

I’ll check out the transfers board though, thank you.
