Just wondering about the popularity of the transfer dorms, in terms of the number of requests...etc and what are some attributes of these dorms?

I'm guessing you are talking about the Transfer Center in middle of west campus. Well the bad news is that it will no longer exist as of the fall of '07, the good news is that the transfer housing program is being moved to Hasbrook apartments.

Now some things about Hasbrook; it used to be the graduate student housing, and now it's going to shared with transfers. It is far from central campus, if you look on the map, it is east of where all the freshman dorms are located, so it's party of north campus. Downside is that it is far from central campus and that it will be shared with grad students who have families. Upside, the transfers are still going to be together. Whether you like apartment style housing or dorm style housing is really up to you. It is hard to tell how the change of style in housing will change the atmosphere. I can tell you right now the Transfer Center is a lot of fun, always something happening, always people chilling in the lounges laughing up a storm, everyone is very close together. As in terms of request, there is always a waiting list for the TC, and I don't mean just with one to two people on the list, and I think that will be the case for next year too.

wow...Hasbrouck looks really far on the map!!! ha...but it sounds really cool nevertheless;)
