I've been told that the essay with transferring needs to cater to the college directly (this is why i'm transferring, this is why i want to go there, ect.). How could I cater to all my colleges if I'm using the common app? All my colleges are very different, so a general essay would not be applicable. Would the best way be to print out the applications and mail them in? That way I can write the different essays but they won't be electronic and some of the college application fees are more. Suggestions on what I can do about this?

This is a common problem I think. I contact the university and ask them to send me a paper application (even some common app. schools have a nice paper version e.g. cornell).

A possible way to do it electronically could be to submit a customized essay to each school. The common app allows you to manually submit to each school on your list so you can adjust the essay between submissions.

i thought only the supplements could be submitted individually. Also, One of my colleges, Wheaton, asks for a short answer that sounds exactly like what I should write for my personal statement essay. Their short answer is basically "what attracts you to Wheaton". Wouldn't the application be kind of redundant if I have two essays that mean the same thing?
