Just wanted to start this thread for everyone who applied as a transfer for Fall ‘18. They usually try to mail out decisions a couple weeks early, so we should be hearing back within the next 3-4 weeks. I’m just as nervous as everyone else! Good luck everyone!
@Andersonjc2 I read from another post that you’re from vcu and I’m on the same boat as you! It will be a long four weeks…
I just saw yesterday that I have missing materials… they let me know pretty late and it says if they aren’t in by March 5th, they won’t review my application. I emailed Nadine Saint and I’m hopeful she’ll give me some extra time… they seem pretty nice over there. But yeah, I do go to VCU! I gotta get out of here!
I got it all figured out! Whew…
I am an international undergrad. at USM. I have also applied there for fall 2018 as a transfer. When are the admission decisions are supposed to come out?
How many international students apply there as a transfer applicant? Do you guys have any idea?
Hi! Technically, you are supposed to hear back on April 15th, but realistically, you’ll probably hear back late March or early April! Good luck!
And no, I have no idea! Sorry!
Have any of you guys receive the MyApp portal?
Nope! Have you? Also what is that? Haha
Is that just your ID for a UR account?
It’s a tool to track your application status.
Nope, didn’t get one, but I’m not worried because they emailed and said everything’s in. Why can’t they just send them right now??
Have they started sending out decisions for transfer admissions?
I assume they haven’t. I don’t think you should expect anything until at least the 27th…
What are my chances as an international student?
I submitted my application for fall 2018. I applied in their undergraduate business program. I have completed 54 credit hours. I have 3.83 GPA. I got 3.43 in my first semester and then two consecutive 4/4 GPA. I have a 4 GPA (salutatorian) in my high school. I am an international undergraduate in USM, MS. I am also involved in my ECs. I am student ambassador in the college of business. My act score is 28. What are my chances? Have any of you have received admission decision so far.
Major: Accounting and finance
Toefl: waived
GPA: improving significantly
Financial need: needed full-ride
Research: involved in many research particularly based on international corporate accounting.
I am very worried. Please tell me what are my chances based on your experience. How long do they take to send the admission decision?
I’m not very well-versed with international student applications, but you seem like a pretty good candidate. Have you done any other extra curriculars, maybe a sport, or any volunteering?
Also, we’re all worried with ya… I’m pretty sure it’s a 50-50 for me…
I have been involved in many ECs like sga election commission, sophomore leadership program, high school student council president, volunteer in Earthquake rehab program, and many more.
Hey guys, current student at UR. You all need to take a step back and relax. You did the hard part of submitting your apps so don’t stress yourselves out over if you’re getting in or not. You should hear back within the next week or so. Admissions reviews applications with the same holistic approach, you are just not eligible for any of URs scholarships (this does not include grant aid) it’s my understanding that UR will still meet 100% of demonstrated need for transfer students. You guys all rock and I wish you the best
