At UR 1 unit= 3.5 semester credits. They also will only let you transfer in I think 4 3 credit courses as 1 unit instead of .86, so you end up with weird decimal equivalents. @transfer9692 8.73 units is 30.555 credits.
Hey guys, I haven’t yet received my admission package. Should I be worried? I submitted all documents previous to February 15th so I feel that I should have received something in the mail by now…
Are you an international student? Either way, I would email or call them ASAP. Best of luck
@transfer9692 You may be able to appeal some of the units if it’s not capped or make some decisions on what classes get used. My eldest was not a transfer student but she did duel enrollment and was allowed to carry in what was equivalent to 7 Richmond units. She was able to pick and choose a bit to cover the courses she wanted covered and I know she was able to appeal one they weren’t going to accept.
@turtletime Thanks! Yeah I’m going to carefully go through each and every requirement and see how I can replace them with the classes I’ve taken. I’ll send Dwayne Smith an email and ask if he can help me out with my situation. Has your daughter graduated?
Does anyone have any experience with the space-available admissions round?
Who all is going to admitted students day on Saturday?
I am!
Nice— glad I’m not the only transfer going haha.
Hey guys, for those who went to admitted students day, how was it? Are you more excited to go to UR now?
Is there a transfer facebook group? Would anyone be interested in joining/helping to create one?
Hi! I applied for Fall 2018 the day of the deadline and I haven’t heard back from them. How could I go about this?
@islandtime123 call them!! Asap!
Thank you!! They are releasing decisions this coming Monday. Let’s see what happens lol
@islandtime123 Does that mean they will be releasing decisions this week about freshman admissions or space available Fall transfer admissions?
What was the deadline for accepted transfer applicants to enroll? The website says May 15, but with the decisions going out in late March was the deadline to enroll moved up as well?
@HooDad1 the date to send in your deposit should not have moved… I don’t think it did. Was everything figured out with your son?
Not yet…that’s why I was inquiring about what decisions were coming out Monday. I think something might be up. I’ll send you a message about it.
I’m assuming it’s space-available decisions coming out on Monday. I’m pretty sure that was the case last year. UR always tries to get things done before the deadline, but I definitely don’t think they would have moved the deposit deadline.
Did admissions say if the decisions will be sent by email, phone or mail?
