Transfer for 2016-2017

Hello, I am currently a high school senior who got rejected as a freshman from USC. My SAT scores were 1800 superscored, my overall GPA was about a 3.11, I wrote a pretty good essay on why my sophomore and freshman grades were bad but it was obviously not a surprise I didn’t get in. I am however ending senior year with a 3.8-4.0 weighted GPA. Now I know there are sophomore transfers to USC but I am confused on many things.

I am attending Cal State LA and on the transfer guide, all the required classes have their corresponding classes at CSULA, so to get in, should I only take those 10 classes or should I do more to show that I can handle more?

I heard also that if you’re a sophomore even with more than 30 units, they still look at your SATs and High school GPA, should i retake the SAT as a college student or will they not really base their decision on it?

My appeal denial also had something like “should you want to transfer to USC at a later time, we would be happy to assist you.” Is that offering me the Trojan Transfer Plan?

USC is my absolute dream school, and I would really appreciate it if you guys would help me, if any of you are successful transfers, please tell me how the process worked and what your stats are, thank you.

If you have 30 or more units by the end of spring, they will only look at your college grades, activities, and essay. If you have less than 30 by the end of spring, they will look more toward high school, and SAT/ACT is a requirement.
