give a shot.
are you apply 2014 fall or 2015 spring. make sure you have 30 or more transferrable credits
trigonometry is definitely a math/science. But I don’t think that will consider as college level class.

@audiadam Yeah im applying for fall of 2015 it accoriding to the transfer site , i should have about 51 credits transferred.

do you think making presidents lists and deans lists help make a difference? Im also in an honor society in college.

@ahamdanilbhs
Only GPA and credits number.

Has anyone been put in a situation where they have been accepted to another university and has 30 days to make a decision?? pretty much where I am right now :/

@mak1994 Me too!! What am I gonna do!! T T

Hey guys, I have been reading submissions here and most people say that GPA and credits are the big factors for transferring. When you say credits, would AP credit that I use to skip college classes be taken into consideration? Or just actual college coursework?

AP/IB credit have no impact on calculations.

Hello, I applied to GA tech as an OOS transfer. I currently have a 3.57 and with the spring semester I am looking to bring that up to a 3.79. I applied as a Chemical/Biomed Engineer with 29 Credits. I have a 1920 SAT (1370 M+CR). Can anyone chance me?

There seems to be some discrepancy over the AP/IB credit transfer equivalency. These exams by themselves have no impact on your admissions or credit hours, BUT if your current institution awards credit hours for classes based on the AP/IB exams and it shows on your transcript that you have hours for them, those DO count towards your required thirty course hours. For instance, my friend got accepted April 15th, and he only had 18 IN CLASS hours at his university. However, his university awarded him 48 hours from AP credits, and Gtech accepted him.

That may be a help table.

I finally got in!!! 3.7 gpa coming from a Florida University into the computer science program!

@mak1994
congratulation. well done

Has anyone else gotten a decision today? I’m still file under review, looking to transfer from Auburn in computer science.

Congrats mak1994. My file is still under review and I am trying to transfer from Georgia State. I have the same gpa as mak1994 and I’m trying to get into their computer science program. Should I contact them?

I applied on the first day the application process opened also if that helps. Im sure being an out of state student could have made an impact in my decision. You could try calling them but I’m sure it won’t help as i did the same last month and was told to contact my transfer admissions counselor.I received a very generic response though

Thanks for the response mak1994. I honestly did not want to wait until June to hear about whether I got accepted or not. Does this mean I need to send my updated transcript? I haven’t received any messages from the admission office about it so I guess I’ll just have to email them about it. Also, isn’t June reserved for those who still need finish their required courses because I finished mine last semester and I honestly thought I would find out today.

We still might. What time do they usually release decisions? Isn’t it usually after noon? Mak’s may have been a fluke or something.

That’s what they said for March but that was also because incoming Freshman decisions were made during that time so I am not exactly sure. I wish they gave us updates on when you will be notified. I hope you are right jnolen2.

So does anyone know what time decisions were released in April?
