Transfer for Fall 2014 Discussion

I got accepted to GT!

I just wonder what I need to do now.

I paid the $250 transfer deposit. what do I need to do after this?

The acceptance letter says that click “Accepted Transfer” tab in Buzzport

but I can’t find “Accepted Transfer” tab in Buzzport. Where is it?

Also, I am taking summer semester. What is the minimum GPA that I have to keep during this semester?

accepted
@ChemEngGT
did you find out “Accepted Transfer” tag?

@audiadam
Not yet. I think it’s not updated yet.

Accepted from University of South Florida to GT for chemical engineering
Major @ USF: Biomedical Sciences GPA 3.79

@ChemengGT how did you pay the $250 deposit? I don’t see the option, is it in the Accepted Transfers Tab?

@HopefulScholar64
Go to Student Services & Financial Aid tab.
and select the Pay Now. I think they are using sth called “paypath”

@HopefulScholar64‌

I paid the $250 deposit at “Pay Now-Bursar” on “Registration and Student Service” tab in Buzzport.

but I can’t see the Accepted Transfer tab. Did you have the tab??

@ChemEngGT
Is it actually 258.6 dollars?

@audiadam‌

Yes it is

it’s $256.88 on my screen ($250 + $6.88 (paypath conv fee))

Congratulations, guys !!!

I"m happy for y’all.

Regarding the $250 deposit, it is $250 if you pay by electronic check. And if you use your credit card, it’s a bit more, I think. I paid $250 using my check’s routing number and account number.

Again, congratulations, guys !!

Accepted! Wooo!

@LDC2621‌
congratulations/////// lovely to hear that

Is there any international student requiring a new I_20 form?

Accepted!

Has anyone been able to register for FASET?

@audiadam‌ I need a new I-20 too. But I am having trouble updating SEVIS address. I have submitted a request for BuzzPort support and emailed IOE too like 2 weeks ago. But the problem is still not solved. I am planning on giving them a phone call tomorrow…

@audiadam‌

Amen brotha! It’s been a helluva ride with you boys/girls since we began in January. Congratulations and see ya in the fall :D

Accepted!
International transfer from Purdue University, major - Computer Engg.
Now comes the agonizing time for making a final decision, whether or not it’s worth it leaving Purdue for GT. Any suggestions? Your input will be greatly valued.

@LDC2621‌ It sure has been a helluva ride to hopefully become one hullva engineer :slight_smile:

@jiukalita‌, hard to give you my opinion since I will be transferring in the fall but my friend who went their for 2 years already loves it! Engineering is taken obviously very seriously and GT will hopefully give us all the best opportunities in the future. Do your research and you’ll make the right choice :slight_smile:

Does anyone know when we might see some financial aid award letters??? Accepted from Auburn University. Have a 4.0 in software engineering. Ga tech, without a doubt, offers the better opportunities IMO. The highest salary awarded to a software engineering grad from Auburn last year was $67,000. The highest from computer science at GA Tech was $120,000. The low at GA tech was very close to the average starting salary at Auburn. Its just a matter of deciding whether or not its worth paying the OOS tuition, or if I will get a financial aid package that covers enough to even make the transition possible.

@jnolen2‌ after filling out all the forms that they asked me to do, it took about a week for me to get my award letter

Thanks for the info mak. All my paperwork is already done, so I should know soon enough.
