Transfer for Fall 2014 Discussion

@guanyu542 @daivinhtran1993
Do you guys have any transfer credits data show up in buzzport?

Do any mechanical engineering transfer student got accepted already?

@audiadam‌, all my transfer credit have shown and even my new ones from the transcripts I sent to them last week from spring semester

@mak1994
Did you send any course syllabus

@audiadam‌, yes my physics 1 and 2 both needed to be looked at since they were never reviewed. Thank god that they were approved! Everything else though transferred without any issue

@mak1994
Only the required courses need to be evaluate ? I have 63 credits, all my required courses can be found in the Gatech Equivalencies website. But two of my class is not in that website. Do I need to send the syllabus?

@audiadam‌ if the courses are shown to have something equivalent,then no. everything should be fine. Its those classes that have never been evaluated or are not shown. Those you need to send a syllabus

@daivinhtran1993
For RETP student. will they be automatically accepted if they finish the program and earn a 3.0 GPA?

@audiadam: Yes.

Those who got accepted, are you going to live on-campus? The housing prices are just ridiculous. And commuting to Tech wouldn’t work for me due to the traffic. Any recommendation on off-campus housing??

@daivinhtran1993
You can stay in-campus for a semester and be familiar with there, and you may make some friends. then decide where to live for next
I am still waiting. RETP student with 3.0 can get in…I am so jealous :open_mouth:

Anybody waiting for transfer admissions decisions on June 15?

My stats:

Applying for discrete math.
Undergrad in finance from Georgia Southern.
Masters in Econ from South Carolina
Trying to make a career change and get into computer science. I really enjoy math also.

Cumulative GPA 3.695
Math/Sci GPA 3.722

Did a bunch of math and science pre-reqs at GPC: 4.0

Hey guys! I have read through this whole thread, but I still cannot figure out my chances of getting in. I am transferring from Georgia Southern University, I was in RETP but decided to change my major to Business Administration concentrating in Accounting because I love numbers I do not care for science as much as I thought. First semester I received a 4.0 GPA and this semester I got a stupid B in Calc 2 Anyway, I have done all the required courses and will end up with an overall 3.87 GPA and Math/Sci 3.75… (I am only a Freshman with 33 hours and then four more credits from AP) I have been on edge waiting for June 15 to come! Good luck to all of you guys! Do they all look at us differently because we are not pursuing the same majors?

Admitted!

I’m an international transfer from Washington State.
Major: Computer Science
Cumulative GPA: 3.95
Major GPA: 4.00

Decided not to attend. I’m going to the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities instead :)

Anyone know what time they are going to release decisions on the 15th?

@BlackSword94 did you get your decision today? Or May 15th and you’re just now posting?
