Transfer for Junior..... WITHOUT 60 Units??

Hello everyone.
I am currently enrolled at California State University Northridge, and I am very unimpressed by the academics, and have found it necessary to transfer. Unfortunately, poor health promoted me to withdrawal from my High School, so I had to finish in adult school. Hence, I am at CSUN.
I will be applying to 10 schools this year, for Fall 2011. But here's the catch - I have 30 units right now, with 18 in progress for Fall 2010. I will also take 12 during Spring 2011. In total, this is 60 units - perfect for a UC.
However, one class does not transfer, so I have 57 units.
Now, here lies my question: Do I take an additional course, or no? Obviously, I should jump on it and take another 3 unit course to reach 60. However, I am only applying to 3 UC's - Cal, UCLA + UCSB. However, all other colleges are private and look favorably on those with 30 - 60 units, NOT 63...all my other units transfer.
So tell me....can one actually transfer w/ 57 units, or will I be rejected? Should I jeopardize the other colleges for the UC's?
Thanks everyone.

Assuming you are going for Junior status you MUST have those 60 units for any UC.

Good luck!

Can I apply for anything BUT Junior standing?

I’ve known people who have applied for sophmore standing but they take they review your application in a very similar manner as they do freshmen. Meaning they want those A-G requirements. You’re better off with Junior status but again, you have to have those 60 units.

i know a friend who did a lower division transfer to CSUEB.

doesnt answer any q’s^ lol

i say take 15 units the spring just in case.
