Hey, I was wondering if northwestern, nyu, and university of Chicago like and accept a good amount of transfers. And just in general, do community college transfers have a harder time than 4 year transfers. Btw I'm going to try to enter these schools as a junior. Oh yeah and do urm's have a better chance into transferring into top schools like these?

Chicago unfortunately accepts a much lower percentage of transfer applicants than freshmen. You can look up all the stats on the collegeboard website, just search for the school and click on the “for transfer students” tab on the left.

ok thanks greg. I recently found on northwestern’s transfer page that they accept 15-20% of transfer applicants and on college board, they say it is 11% for transfers at NU. So that is one of the reasons why I dont really trust college board’s stats.

The Common Data Set gives transfer stats, and if a college publishes their CDS, they usually have several years that you can look at.
