I know My GPA is not all that great, but I want to know what my chances are when applying. I am trying to transfer from a California Community College to UC Santa Barbara with by the time I send in my application will be no less than a 3.0 GPA. I don't qualify for the T.A.G Program because the math I needed to take for that to happen was full, so I wont be completed my math requirements before fall 2010.

Realistically speaking, what are my chances? Thank you.

Im sorry that you weren’t able to get into that math class. imo I would say you have a solid chance, I think the average enroll for ucsb, ucd, uci is around 3.1-3.2. Just apply and hope for the best i guess.

ENJooz, I was in the same situation. I took Stats in the Spring 2010, after applying in November 2009, not having TAG complete at the time of application.

I had a 3.2 GPA and I initially got rejected from UCSB. After completing Stats with an A, I sent an appeal letter back to UCSB with my attached grade and I was accepted.

Doesn’t mean this will happen to you; every year the admissions criteria are different. Just make sure you take Stats in the spring.
