Transfer from a UC to UC as a senior?

Is it possible to transfer from a UC to another UC as a senior?
I have never heard of this case before, and I have been wondering and looking up online but still haven't found any information about it.
I'm transfering from a CC to UCI in the upcoming fall as a Junior, and I am just wondering if it is possible to transfer to other UCs like UC Davis next year as a senior?
I will ask a counselor personally when the school starts. But I would just like to know if anyone here actually knows. This is the only place I can possibly find out before I see an academic counselor.
The only reason I hope I might be able to transfer to another UC is being closer to home.
So i'm just really wondering. Thanks so much in advance.

I don’t think that it’s likely. The reason why priority for transfer admissions goes to CC students is because they have no way to get a bachelors at their current institution and must transfer. You, being at a 4-year school hurts you and so does being a senior. I also think that there is a cap on the number of units you can have to be eligible to transfer from a 4-year. Why don’t you just transfer to a UC that’s close to home right from the get go?

I know the reasons why transfers get priority and most accepted transfer students are largely from CC
There are also lots of successful UC to UC transfers but mostly are transferring as juniors.
I originally was trying to transfer to UCD, and I did not get accepted.
I am looking forward to going to UCI, but i’d like to know if anyone has transferred from UC to UC in their fourth year. I would love to give it a shot. If not I’m still very happy being at my current college.

You’ll have junior status - IF IT IS POSSIBLE(probably not)
You will have NOT completed any/many upper division courses that count towards a major at the new school.

It IS possible to graduate in one year if you plan things appropriately and take a decent share of 20 unit quarters.

The following makes it sound as if there is not room for senior transfers. But you won’t know for sure until you check with a counselor. The only wiggle room I think you might have is if a bunch of your units came from AP classes. If you ignored your AP units and were still a junior after spending a year in Davis, that might be an escape clause that would let you do it. But let me add I’m speculating here not sure.
