How would I transfer from a candian college to umass amherst? I'm currently a senior in high school. Will umass be looking at only my college work or high school grades as welll? (Sat's??). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am doing the same thing. You will go to a Canadian university and transfer the following year (the fall of 2014). You will need to take the SAT or the ACT, and you want to probably score >1700-1800 on that for umass amherst.

Umass Amherst will look primarily at your high school grades and SAT score; there will be less focus on your first semester college grades since they only see your official first semester grades. You apply online at commonapp.org (when you are in the first semester of university).

Thanks. One last thing. Is there any way I can get umass to look at my college marks only? My high school marks would most likely get me in but I wanna guarantee my spot and I think my college marks can make that happen

Yes, there is a way. You would have to go to the Canadian university for two years, and then transfer as a junior. Then umass amherst would not look at your high school grades or SAT.

Thank youu soo soo much. I can’t tell you how much that helped. Thanks a lot man appreciate it.
