I am a freshman at Texas State University and i am looking into transferring to UMASS Amherst next fall. I have about a 3.3 gpa but it should be raising.
I currently don't have any extra curricular activities, but I am looking into joining some! Does anybody know like how hard it is to get into UMASS Amherst? How do I stand up?? ANYBODY HELPPPP!!

Umass is a state school so their entrance requirements are pretty black and white when it comes to admissions.. meaning your GPA and SAT score are weighed and if you're above the bar.. you're in. Umass Amherst was one of the schools I applied to as a freshman and I had no trouble getting into it with a gpa slightly lower than yours.

The Umass schools are also widely known to be very "transfer-friendly." I believe something like 1/3 of the students who attend Umass Amherst have transferred from another school.

So the transfer-friendly attitude combined with the rather easy state-defined standards for admission make it a great school to transfer to, you shouldn't have too difficult of a time getting in. Good luck!
