I'm currently going to a Florida state college (not quite a university since it was just upgraded from a community college). I have guaranteed admission into any public Florida university, but I want to go out of state to open up more opportunities. I understand that it is way more expensive, so that's why if I go out of state, I'm aiming high. I graduated with a 3.48 in high school and got an 1890 on my SAT. I was just wondering if it's possible for me to get accepted into Columbia. I know chances are slim, but are there any other current Columbia students who applied from a community college and succeeded? If so, what advice would you give? I am still in my first semester, finishing with all A's in four classes (I hope) for 12 credits.
