Transfer from CSU

Hello!
I was wondering how transfers within the CSU system works. Let’s say from CSUMB to Cal Poly Slo? Is it guaranteed? Are you applying with the other community college transfers?

There is no guarantee at all. You will compete with the CC grads for a limited number of slots. At 17%, the transfer admit rate is about half of the freshman admit rate. SLO also heavily favors local applicants.

Believe it or not, it is easier to transfer to UCSC than SLO.

I encourage you to apply but, have a viable plan B.
