I am a Ca resident and am considering my college options
I have a quick question.
Can you transfer from CAL poly Pomona to SLO?
Thanks.

Yes, you can. These two schools even have a transfer agreement. You can find it here:

ASSIST Prompt Page

(where it asks for "from which school", put Cal Poly Pomona), then put in your major and it will tell you which courses transfer and meet Cal Poly SLO requirements for that major.

You will need to take a minimum of 60 units at Cal Poly Pomona prior to transferring, though. So apply once you have about 45 complete and are about to take the last 15 or so to meet the 60 unit total.

Yes though would it be as easy as transferring from a CC to SLO?
A transfer from either a CC or a CSU is not easy for SLO. Priority is given to local CC applicants (Cuesta) but SLO takes few transfers overall so you need to see which works best for you. Is their any specific major or reason you want to transfer between the Cal Poly’s?
Use this link with the drop down menu to determine your specific major selection criteria for SLO:

As others note above, in the abstract, YES, you can. You will have to compete for your spot though with the correct courses and a high transfer GPA. People find it hard to believe but, it is a lot easier to transfer to most UCs than SLO.
