Has anyone transfered from 2 year De Anza college to Engineering in Stanford. It will be great help to know what needs to be done. Planning to go to De Anza for financial conditions and take the pre requisite courses for Computer engineering.

No it hasn’t ever been done. Don’t get your hopes up.

How are you so confident . Do you know anyone who tried but did not succeed. What about UCs?

Only about 1% of transfer applicants are offered admission to Stanford. It is a long shot. If you have a very compelling hook (an ex-marine, or a male cheerleader from the Philippines, or a career as a DJ with a #2 hip-hop hit, that kind of thing) you might stand out in the crowd. Otherwise just move on to your other transfer options.

Berkeley takes many CCC transfers every year, and also into the COE. I don’t know exact numbers, but if you have a high GPA and have the right pre-reqs you have a decent shot.

If you have a 3.5+ UC Davis is a good match to think about as well.

A 3.5+ is also good match for Santa Clara University, whose Engineering department is also well regarded.

Btw - ignore poster #2 - that wasn’t true or helpful.
