Hey,

I am currently an Engineering Student at Ohio State University. I’ve plowed through all of my GECs and classes required to get into Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering. I currently have a 2.4 from Ohio State (about 60 hours) and a 2.9 from Ohio University (30 hours).

Ohio State sets class averages at a C (2.0), they like to make it as hard as possible to leave.

The California State website says that you need a minimum 2.4 from out of state, but I figure engineering is much more competitive than other majors.

My parents are moving out near SLO. I was wanting to move out to be near them, I was wondering what the chances of getting in are?

I have checked and I have all of the classes to go into pretty much any of the engineering areas. I am not really attached to ME or aero. I would also consider going into Math.

If that is not possible is there another state school that I would have a better chance applying to (anything is closer than Ohio)? I figured out CU schools are completely not even an option.

Thanks for the help.
