Transfer from overseas

Howdy.
I'm an international student in Sydney right now and I went to a high school based off of the American system. I didn't apply to the states in high school but now I feel I'm more suited to the American system. I feel like I should throw in a transfer application to one or two universities and see what happens. It doesn't hurt to apply but looking at it in perspective, I won't have any general education credits and I guess the admissions won't be too keen on accepting an international student already settled outside of the states. I guess I just have a strong reason why I would want to transfer just like every other applicant.

So..are you guys aware of any cases where international students (outside of the states) under different academic curricula get accepted into top schools in the states?

Any insight would be great.

Yes you can transfer from anywhere to an American College. What do want to major in,and will you be needing scholarships/financial aid? It’s phenominally difficult to get financial aid as an international student.Look into Amherst,Tufts,Brown and Washington University in St Louis, they are international transfer friendly(but still hard to get in)
