Transfer from private school to public school

My daughter transferred from public high school to local private school in sophomore year. She had difficulty time to keep up (unw eighted GPA ~ 3. All B) in first semester and not happy socially. Though her second semester getting better (GPA ~3.75), she transferred back to the same public school in junior year. Her GPA or weighted GPA is getting better in Junior. I definitely can say that she is doing better from GPA perspectively.

Here are her situations:

  1. When she was in private school sophomore, she cant take most challenging classes.
  2. When she was in public school junior year, she can take most challenging classes offered in public school.
  3. Due to her first semester GPA in private school, her overall GPA is dragged down.
  4. Her GPA trend from 10 to 11th grade, is getting better.

So here are my questions.
All of them related to college application.

  1. What is the impact of her college application due to this public -> private -> public transfer?
  2. What is the impact due to her GPA trend and overall GPA.
  3. In the college application, how she needs to explain the situation and make sure more competitive.
