Transfer from UNCC to Duke!

I know it really depends on how great my gpa is and how actively I was involved in many other communities and such; I want to know if I were to attend UNCC or UNC at CH (I am a senior in highschool (SC) rightnow, who is willing to attend UNCC or UNC at CH or any other colleges in NC), and wanted to transfer to Duke University is it worth it? meaning that is it really hard to be accepted to Duke? I heard that they started to reduce the percentage of acceptance lately.

You can look up transfer info (and what is required to be considered for admission) on Duke’s Common Data Set, section D. http://ir.provost.duke.edu/facts/cds/CDS_2012-2013.pdf

Thanks!
Assuming that I am attending UNCC or UNC at CH, would my high school GPA affect a lot compared to my college transcript, ACT, and other college-related-info?
It would be very discouraging if it would affect a lot since my overall GPA isn’t really good due to my freshman year grade which totally lowers my overall GPA. (I came here to the States from Korea when I was a rising Sophomore. The grading system in Korea and the States was very different. Even though my grades weren’t that bad according to Korea’s grading system, it wasn’t same for here.)
I honestly don’t know much about transferring yet maybe because I am still a high school student.
Would anyone give me any tips or other helpful info about it?
