Transfer GPA on UC transcript

Hi guys, I'm just wondering about this because I can never find a definite answer for this question. So I know that your GPA from an institution don't (generally) transfer to another institution. But I know for a fact that your CCC GPA gets factored into your cumulative GPA if you attend a CSU, and it therefore appears in the transcript, although your CSU GPA will be resetted.
However, I heard that this is different for UCs; is it true that there is nothing and by that I mean, a DEFINITE NOTHING, not at all, a hint of your CCC grades in a UC transcript?

I'm just asking because I have a rough year in my CCC (3.45 GPA) whilst knowing for a fact that I could have easily gotten straight As if I hadn't suffered from an illness, and I just want to believe that I can have a sort of fresh start in a UC by having no mention of my CCC GPA.
Thanks for your replies.

Hi! I have in hand right now, my official UCLA transcript.

I had taken a community college course before, and it only appears as units. No grade is displayed. There are no GPA points calculated from those units and the grade is not factored into my cumulative GPA.

I also transferred from UCI, and on my UCI transcript, the CCC grade is similarly not factored into my GPA, nor does is the actual grade displayed.

For future reference, my UCI credits also appear on my UCLA transcript. However, none of my grades are listed (as the transcript would likely be double in size). The GPA points I earned do appear on the transcript, and are factored into my cumulative GPA.

So in summary: CCC grades do not show up on the transcripts, at least not at UCI or UCLA, nor are they factored into the GPA in any way. There will be an indication that you earned outside units though.

Also, a 3.45 is hardly a terrible GPA! Regardless, you get a fresh start so cheer up!

Thanks for your reply, thats great to know!
Wow, what a great relief for me :P.
