Hi, I'm a freshman at TCU (Ft.Worth) this year and am considering transfering to A&M for fall 09, but only if I get into the business. I got into the business school after hs, but went elsewhere. I think my stats are good enough, but I haven't taken all the business track that supposedly they require. What are my chances?

For one, HS isnt a factor anymore. Unless there is major competition that they need to look that far back to decide whos better. How many credits do you have? In what classes? You need 24 credits at the time of application to even be considered. If you don't get into the business school, transfer to it later on from another college inside of A&M like Liberal Arts.

Well, im taking 15 hrs this semester and I only have 6 hrs from AP tests. ( Only 1 of which will probably transfer). I know at UT, they look at ur current work in progress, and they decide after they recieve my spring transcript. Is it different for A&M?

Yes. A&M requires you to have 24 by the date of application. UT you need to have 15 done by application date and 30 by time you transfer. FYI, A&M doesnt count AP credit as part of the minimum 24 hours. I don't know about UT.

Not sure about CLEP. You take summer school and winter classes. Thats what I did and I will have 26 hours by my time of application in January for next fall. I had it in my mind all along that I wanted to transfer to A&M thats why I took summer classes.

Edit: I might be wrong about the 24 credits after high school. It seems that it only regarding the TAPP program. I would contact an advisor. Here is the contact info of a helpful advisor.
