<p>Transfer student here who just decided to commit to UCSD. Just curious who else out there is planning on living in the village like I am and if anyone knows anything about the roomate selection process? Additionally anyone going to Transfer Day?</p>
<p>For room selection, after you sign the housing contract and make the deposit, you’ll get a call (around June) to reserve a room. They ask you to list your preferences when you sign the contract but they really don’t matter.</p>
<p>Do we get a call in the order that we submitted the housing application?</p>
<p>Yes. And don’t miss that call. If you do, you won’t be able to get a hold of them.</p>
<p>Are there on campus housing options for transfer where you get a private bath? I’m looking at these floor plans and it’s like 3 people per toilet/sink and six per shower… </p>
<p>Also, what is the smoking situation? I’m sure you can’t smoke inside but outside?</p>
