Suggestions? What's the character of the different places transfers can live?

There's mini-suites in Units 1 and 2, Channing Bowditch Apartments, and Spens Black in Unit 3.'

Spens Black I'd guess is the best fit because it's tailored just at Transfers and Unit 3 has Bear Maket and the best dining hall in it. Plus, it's technically closes to campus. at the same time, Unit 3 is the ****tiest of all the buildings avaliable, but probably the best for Transfer social reasons

Mini-Suites: Mainly second years live in these, but there are some transfers and freshmen. The rooms are nicer than Spens Black and you get a more exclusive bathroom in your suite, but many of the people in the suites are a bit clicky because they already have met a lot of friends the year before. At the same time, if you are a social person, it won't be hard to break in and meet friends

CB Aprtments: The nicest of the bunch without a dobut when it comes to rooms. At the same time it's the least social option of them all

If you want nce CB is the way to go, if you want social try Spens Black, if you want a balance between the two try the Mini-Suites

What about Wada in Unit 2; I thought it was strictly transfer apartment style housing building...

When signing up for housing, is there any way to specifically request for a room on Spensblack? I'm looking at the options, and there are just selections for Unit 3 Double and Unit 3 Triple.

Yeah- as far as I can see, you can't specify.
Also! What about co-ops? Are they a good idea for transfer students (in terms of adjusting/fostering community)? If so, which ones and why?

I did some more research.

Davis, Ridge, Kingman, and Castro for fall and maybe Loth (it's one of three with room+board) for summer sound best so far. I want a chill, small place with lots of community, but minimal crazy parties. Cleanliness is really important, as are quiet and endearing/stereotypical-without-being-irritating-and-gross hippy-ness. If you know anyone from Ridge, Davis, Kingman, Castro, and/or Loth, I'd love to talk to them.

Some more questions:
What's the difference between the West and South sides of campus? Where are the frats, and where is more quiet?
How are the apartment co-ops (Rochdale, Weaver's, or Northside)?

I think co-ops are the way to go for me, though I'm kind of hesitant to give up the floor of transfers. Do you know anyone who lived in the Units with all the transfers? It'd be nice to get some perspective there.

Southside is the best side in my opinion. It just has the most going on. From what I've heard the co-ops are actually kind of messy since it's on students to clean for themselves. Some co-ops do throw a lot of parties, so if you don't want that , it might nto work. The safest, best bet in my opinion would be Spen-Black, but I don't know anyone that live there
