After talking with 4 different advisors and other students, I'm pretty certain to transfer into the b school, but Noe idk what to pursue.

I know that based on the structure of the curriculum, double majoring on business is rather simple. But still, I wanna graduate in 4 years and I have not yet taken any business course (will probably do so this summer). I've already spent 1/4 years and hardly knocked out any business requirements. So at this rate, I want a degree in business but I don't wanna insinuate do much stress on myself cause I hear I would have to take 18+ credits per semester from now on...

Main questions:

How would the next few years look like if I choose to double major or major + minor?

Thanks

After a year I’m sure you can figure this out for yourself. You know what requirements for BSBA you need, know what major requirements are, and can figure out if you can fit them all into 3 years. I mean really

Yes but I’d still like to hear others’ opinions. The advisors didn’t really give me any definite answers other than “sure it’s completely doable.”

Sit down with the webpage that shows the requirements for the major, the course listings (to see which classes are only offered in the fall, etc.), and some pen and paper. It shouldn’t take you more than a half hour to figure out what your schedule will be for the next 3 years.

It ultimately depends on how many business courses you want to take in one semester and how many courses outside the business school you want to take.

I’ve consistently done 18 credits and have found it manageable. But I can’t speak for how well you would manage 18 credits. I have found that staggering different types of classes (quantitative vs. qualitative) definitely helps.

Also, some majors are harder to complete than others. Economics & Strategy, in particular, is a pain to complete because the requirements are so strict (7 classes, no substitutes).

In short, transferring to the business school sophomore year is completely manageable. I know quite a few people who have transferred their sophomore year and have done fine. If you think about it this way, business students will have only taken, AT MOST, 4 of their core requirement classes. And many business students take less than that. So if you enter into the b-school next year, you won’t be that far behind (even less so if you have credits that will transfer over, such as ArtSci econ or Stats courses).
