Transfer Into Established Business School

I will be a sophomore at the University of New Hampshire next semester. I am thinking about transferring into a better business school, but I am unsure of my chances in transferring into schools such as NYU, Colgate, Williams, UPENN, Babson, or any other top notch business school/liberal arts school in New England. Currently, I am a business student at Peter T. Paul College at UNH.

UNH Undergrad:
GPA: 3.6
Activities: UNH Ski Club, Outing Club

So far I have taken Micro Econ, Macro Econ, Introduction to Business and Finite Math. Sophomore year I am taking Financial Accounting, Information Systems, and Business Statistics.

In high School I had a 3.01 GPA. I was on an IEP plan freshman year of my first semester but was taken out of my IEP plan due to my improved performance. Took several honors classes and had average SAT scores. Also played varsity tennis. I want to transfer to a better business school after my sophomore year at UNH. What schools do I have a good chance of transferring into in terms of business? What about Colgate, NYU, UPENN, Babson, Williams? Thanks.

Colgate and Williams don’t offer undergraduate business degrees. None of the schools listed generally consider average students. You’re doing very well at UNH, however, I’m not sure what these private schools do about transfer students. My guess is Stern and Wharton are out of the question with Babson being a possibility. Good luck.

Thanks for your reply. It doesn’t so much have to be a business school. If the school has an economics major than that would be sufficient also. What schools do you think I would have a good chance of getting into? Babson would be awesome as would Colgate or Union. Do you have any suggestions as to what schools I have a chance of getting into that have more challenging and prestigious programs over UNH in the New England area?
