Hello,
I did quite a bit of research but could anyone possibly be kind enough to give a breakdown on how one would go about transferring into UofM’s LSA economics program? I am at Oakland University right now with a major in Pre Business Administration and I begin in the fall. Thank you to anyone kind enough to help.
Univ. of Michigan accepts transfers as a sophomore after the freshman year. I know of someone who had a 3.95 GPA at a UC and was accepted as a transfer. The transfer instructions are probably in the UM websites.

The sooner the better to make sure your courses at OU will qualify within the requirements of their admissions process.
When transferring to Umich it’s always good to see what credits transfer first.
As for transferring…
I submitted my application through one of the school’s suggested platforms (the Common or Coalition application- I personally prefer the Coalition application because it seemed easier to navigate). The requirements will be similar to a regular college application only you’ll need to provide class information for both high school and college.
Materials needed: High School transcripts/grades, Previous college transcript/grades, essay question answers, and SAT/ACT scores.
You’ll be marked undeclared upon acceptance but you’ll declare a major at your first academic advising appointment during the transfer orientation.
