Transfer moving into cascadilla help?!

Hey guys! So as the thread title suggests I am a freshman moving into Cascadilla Hall. I know I cannot do anything about it but either way I would love to hear more about it from Cornell students. Its in Collegetown so does it ever get to noisy? Would it be harder for me to make friends b/c its not on main campus? And should I go on West Campus meal plan then? Lol sorry for so many questions! Thanks in advance!

Maybe a little bit, but if you are not a light sleeper, you should be fine. It usually gets noisy only during weekends or right before longer breaks hit, even then I think it’s still okay.

No, but your “friends” would be upperclassmen. So, it might be a bit different, but people are generally friendly and open. It’s really up to you. The only let down is the fact that most of the freshmen events during orientation would be at North Campus. So, you might have to walk quite a bit or just take the bus.

Either that or debit meal plan.

fri3nds04 answered your questions, so I won’t repeat, but freshmen are living in Casc now?

Sometimes housing is disorganized too. There are upperclassmen thrown to north, and freshmen to collegetown. It’s probably because of guaranteed housing as well.
