This thread is OLD, and of really will get better answers if you start a new thread with your question. but I’ll reply to you anyway. Financial aid for international students is limited anyway. Financial aid for international transfer students is almost non-existent. And if it is available, your need will be considered when your application for admission is considered in most cases.

thanks for replying. i just need to know if it is not practical applying or i can really hope for good results.

Sorry guy, I know this post is old but I need to identify about my status:
I am an international student attending UL Lafayette and intend to transfer to other US college, so the school I apply to will consider me as an international transfer student or transfer student when they give me FA ?

Thank you !

For the benefit of others in the same position as the original poster I will suggest a obtaining a reference book that lists small private universities that also have Money . Small private schools that are not super competitive and are located away from top cities need foreign students as most foreign student may be drawn to NYC ,Boston, DC . LA, San Francisco (these areas) . These universities may want or need to make a quota of 7% foreign students for example. So your job is to find these B + Private colleges and Small Universities that everyone else IS NOT trying to get in to. Be strategic. Colby College in Maine, Mills in Marin County Ca. Clark University in Worcester MA, Remember they Need to have Money and they need to attract foreign Students to Stay Balanced.

Hi I may be trying to transfer from University St Andrews to schools like Michigan or Colgate or colorado college, I will probably finish with around a 3.5 GPA from my first semester, i had a 3.81 in high school and a 1970 on the SAT but was also the president of my high school amongst other things, what are the chances?
I have the following question that I need to clarify before submitting my application. I live in California and have attended a community college here for two years now. I recently completed my AA and I am ready to transfer. However, I took some college credits that I am not proud of in Venezuela (I am from Venezuela). Can I completely omit this institution from my Univ. application, because if I listed it, they will require me to send them the transcripts, which I don’t have. Can they find out about this foreign institution even when I omit it from my application. Please help!
