transfer out of a private university

I will be attending a private university for my sophomore year of college however I am considering transferring out of the school for my junior year. It seems as though it will be pretty difficult because I am looking to transfer into a CSU or State College in California and I need 60 transferable units. Because the courses at my private school are unique, Im afraid that I wont be able to transfer for my junior year because I wont have enough transferable units. It seems like my options are continuing at the private university for this year and then going to a community college to earn units or just staying at the university I am at, which is PLNU. I need help to think this through and need options that will make the transferring possible! Thanks!

I did the same thing and the public university I will be applying to accepted a lot more than I imagined. Usually if you stick to the same major or something related, the head of the department will work with you if you can get your syllabus. Even though your class descriptions may not be exactly the same, some will be familiar enough to match up.
