transfer out?

I'm curious about who transfers out of CMC and why. We know a current freshman who has decided to transfer to UCLA because he considers CMC too small. Does anyone know someone who has transfered out and what the reason was?

I know two people who are transfering out. I have not actually talked to them directly about it, but I have heard that they are leaving to go to bigger schools. Personally, I love the small school feel, but it is not for everyone. For the most part, people are very happy at CMC.

Thanks for your input. My son has been having a very difficult time deciding between Claremont McKenna, his first choice for two years because of their excellent professors and economics and government departments, and UCLA, where he could possibly have greater opportunities for his college extracurricular/social life and future networking.

i guess he's already made a decision...but my sister opted out of cmc (she wants to do the gov't thing too) b/c of its lack of network...just b/c it Is such a new school. she went for an older school (william and mary) that a had more of an alumni/buissness network that was a bit more established.

i think cmc does have a very good network. cmc graduates receive very good offers from prestigous law/business firm and they also have a washington program that can prepare you in the government field.

it is indeed a fairly new school but that means that the facility are new. it depends on your personality and your interest...some people find it an excellent fit
