Transfer plan for pharmacy... advice please?

hi! :)

I'm gonna be entering the UOP 3+3 pharm program next year (yay!) and I've had a rough idea in mind...

Assuming I keep all my grades up and stuff doing prepharmacy, I want to apply to transfer to UCSF for the final 3 years (Pharm.D) since UCSF is a more prestigious school for pharmacy.

What do you think of this plan? Good idea, bad idea, advice etc?
Is it even possible to transfer out of the UOP program?

thanks :D!

bumppppp anyone ): ? please give me advice on this, thanks!

Anything is possible but UCSF is the no1 Pharm school in the US, that means you have to compete with lots and lots of people.

Congrats!

To answer your last question, yes, it’s totally possible. My brother’s friend actually did this. He went to UOP for the first three years of the 3+3 dental program, then left for Harvard dental school.

hi, sorry for the super late reply but I just really wanted to thank you guys for your input! :)

yes, UCSF will be highly competitive… I’m going to work very hard, let’s hope for the best. :D

thanks again!
