Is anyone else applying to transfer Fall 2015 as a sophomore and junior? I am scared to get my letter back.
Hi. I am trying to transfer as a sophomore into the Business School. What were your stats if don’t mind.

I have a 3.6 in college but i only had a 3.1 in college with 1650’s SATS. We’ll see what happens.

April? I applied about a month ago. I hope its earlier than that.
They let everyone know on the same date in April. I can’t remember the exact date, but it’s around April 15th. My son did this last year and my daughter is applying now. It’s not a rolling admissions process, so you need to wait, sadly. If you have all your application materials in by 3/1, you will have a decision on that early date.
Did your application say whether or not your transcript was received? I have confirmation from my current university that mine was sent 2/9 so it should definitely be there by now…
It will say application is complete. If it doesn’t say that, I’d call or email asap. Sometimes you have to babysit the transcripts through.
If you dont mind me asking, was it difficult for your son to get in as a transfer?? I am so nervous. @lenmonster
I don’t know that it was difficult. He was in a kind of a special situation. He started at community college as a junior in high school and had 48 credits when he applied. His GPA was decent…maybe something like a 3.25. My daughter (his twin sister) is now attempting to transfer, but she only has about 33 or so credits complete, so we will see. I’ve seen transfers get in with 3.0 GPAs. If your college GPA is good, I wouldn’t worry too much. But check on your transcript, because you need to make sure everything was received by 3/1 to get priority consideration.
@lenmonster I have the not the strongest high school stats… with a 3.3 and 1510 SAT. But my college is 24 credits after my first semester and a 3.63. I am very nervous
hi, I also applied to UMCP but they only recieved my transcript on march 4th 
. Im guessing that means i missed the priority deadline even though my application was completed by march 1st. I have a 3.74 gpa with 33 credits(45 by end of this semester) and im a member of the phi theta kappa honors society. is there any chance i wont be rejected?
The main chance is that you didn’t hit the priority deadline and the slots COULD fill up. That being said, your stats are plenty strong enough, so I really wouldn’t worry about it. The only issue is you don’t find out your answer until I believe July if you missed that priority deadline, but I’d talk to the admissions office and get clarification.
thank you, I shall call them tommorow to confirm. I really hope they include me in the priority deadline applicants. would be a blow to miss out on admission because i applied late.
From the website: “Due to the high volume of applications and supporting materials submitted to our office we ask for your patience in allowing documents to be matched. Receipt of documents can be confirmed on the document tracking area of the application page. Documents will be matched as soon as possible but no later than November 24th. As long as your documents are submitted by November 1st, your application will be considered for priority consideration.”
They may have received the documents before March 1st but only now matched them. I brought my transcripts in in person on the 27th and it doesn’t say that they received them, even though I know for a fact that they did–having brought them myself. It just takes a while to link documents with the application. So I think you’re good.
i called and suprisingly they said i made the priority deadline. however i still have my doubts because i sent my transcript march 1st and know for a fact it could only have arrived march 2nd at the earliest. we will just have to wait and see in april.
