<p>Hi. I just finished my freshman year at an ok top 50 school. I majored in Chemistry (pre-med) but I changed to business over the summer.
My freshman GPA turned out to be a 2.78 with three Cs.....
if I am able to get good grades (3.8-4.0) with the business classes I'm taking, is it possible to transfer to a good business school?</p>

<p>What exactly do you consider a good business school? If you’re talking anything above Rice, it is pretty unlikely unless you’re minority/have great hooks/extracurriculars/hardships/etc</p>

<p>I believe Jesse H Jones (or whatever it is called) is a top 20 business school. You should try to transfer to UT’s McComb’s school of business. It’s good, not so competitive that it’s a crapshoot, but competitive enough to be looked upon positively on the eyes of employers. Undergrad business programs are effectively useless anyway IMO.</p>
<p>Get your accumulative GPA above a 3.2 and transfer to a top 50 school. Maintain a good GPA and get it above 3.5 and go to a top 20 business school.</p>
