Transfer potential?

My dream is to study English at a top 15 English/Lit university. However, I have under-performed in high school as far as getting into ones of these schools goes. So my question:

If I were to get a >3.7 gpa at any of these schools (I have gotten into all of them), do I stand to get in as a transfer to UNC, UCLA, or NYU?

George Washington
Syracuse
UMass Amherst

If it matters, as a high school student I have a 3.4 weighted gpa and a 1900 SAT.

Please only answer if you have any actual knowledge about transferring students or go to any of these schools. Thank you

For most selective schools, it is as difficult to transfer as it is to gain freshman admission.

Rather than pine for what might be, focus on fitting in and doing your best wherever you wind up. If after 18 months of effort, you still feel the pull of another school, apply away and see what happens. My concern is, if you don’t buy in or view this school as an interim step, you won’t perform to your potential.

If you really excel, why not grad school at a prestigous college?
