I got into Cal Poly Pomona and thats where I plan to attend but if I wanted to transfer how would it work? Do I take classes for 2 years then apply to UCs again? One of my friends said his friend transferred in just a semester. Is that true?
Please give me details. I plan to transfer to UCI or UCLA and I want to make my plans now so I know what to do. Thank you for reading this

Hey. Truth is, it is almost impossible to transfer into the UC's from anything but a community college. Something like 93% of transfers are from CCC, and some offer transfer agreement programs (TAP) that double your chance of admission (even to UCLA). If you think you want to transfer, the only real option is go the CCC route.

What if you got in when applying as a senior?

If you want to go to a UC, I would also suggest attending a CC first (possibly look into the honors program/transfer agreements at UCs). But if you want to transfer from state then you just apply like every other transfer student in November.

Like most people have already said it is difficult to transfer from a CSU to a UC but not impossible. You might want to look into USC though, since i believe they have an articulation agreement with Cal Poly Pomona but if you really want UCI or UCLA, CC is the way to go.
