I'm currently a freshman at UMBC applying for as a transfer for fall 2006. I don't want to send my high school grades so I have to wait till after the spring semester to send my grades. Though, I completed and sent my application by the March 1st deadline. Does anyone know if waiting to send my grades will have a significant impact on my decision? I'll have about a 3.2/3.3 GPA with 35 credits. What do you think my chances are for getting in? Any help would be much appreciated.

I think they'll ask for ur high school transcript if it's less than 45 or 60 credits I don't remember. If it looks bad, just send it, the current grade matters more. And write an essay how you improved. 3.2 GPA at UMBC would be higher than half of the people at UMCP.

3.2 is pretty solid but you don't have my credits yet, they'll ask for an hs transcript to look at.

i thought if u have 2.75 in a cc in maryland or at a maryland public ur like guaranteed. isnt that in a contract in the u of m system or something. im pretty sure u have to have 30/45/60 credits
