Hello everyone,

As of currently, Im a student at a SUNY school looking to possibly transfer to Binghamton university. I applied for the fall 2012 semester, and Binghamton just sent me an email requesting my midterm grades. I had a hard upbringing in a less then desirable environment, with that being said my high school transcript suffered. However, I received a 3.89 gpa this past semester and Im on track towards reaching hopefully the same gpa. I really dont know what to make of the request for the midterm grades; does this mean I have an adequate chance of getting in? Im not a shallow person; I genuinely like the University Not Just for the Name. Can any students tell me about college life there, or anything that might affect my decision if Im accepted?

My mid-term grades are A, A, B+ and the last class does not have enough grades for the professor to put down a grade. Would N/A grade assignment be appropriate for this situation? I understand that to allow for the best chance of getting accepted, it is important to get all of your materials in as soon as possible? Do you think I have a shot of getting in?

I really need a change of environment Im commuting to college right now, so any input, positive or negative about binghamton university would be awesome.

Happy trails and best of luck to everyone,
