For UVa transfers- do we have to submit mid-semester grades for our spring semester after we submit our application? If so, anyone know where in the app. the form is?

its optional, since the website says "If you need to submit Mid-Year Grades, please download Part 4 of our Application, which contains the necessary forms."
Part 4 is First Semester/Trimester Grade Report for First-Years...I assume that the website is correct about using this form...
if we mail this in, is that ok if we've used the online application? Im using the online just so I can check my decision May 1st, and i don't want to mess that up

Hey shoebox-
Thanks for your reply- I just called the office of admissions and got some stuff cleared up. Transfer applicants do not need to send mid semester grades for the second semester. The person I spoke to said there is no form (I think the one you were looking at is for first-years only). You can call to see if you can submit some mid-semester grades for them to consider, but I'm not sure about that. Also, if you did, I don't think that would mess it up. The reason for me saying this is because as an applicant for fall 2006 last year everyone had to fill in that form and you could get your decision online anyway. Also, from what I've heard, most transfers find out around the 25th or so of April through regular mail (in previous years at least). Good luck with your application, and I hope I'll see you there next year!

hmm so i guess you really cant send them in...i just found that quote on the application instructions website, so thats where i got it from...maybe i'll try to submit them in some way anyway

hey, do you know if we can send in the high school supplement for first years if we're a sophmore transfer? I came from a pretty competative school, so I figure I might as well point out I took the toughest HS courseload all 4 years, since they look 50/50 at college and HS...
someone asked this on the Peabody II blog and it made me wonder too, but theres no response, so I figured i'd see if anyone knows on here

I really couldn't tell you. The best thing to do is call UVa admissions; they're human too, just have what you want to say lined up and they'll answer all of your questions. I've called numerous times and they are extremely helpful.

haha i love how im always saying "just call or email!"...i shall call here in a bit, and let you know =)

ps- what is that professors name who is a big political figure?

larry sabato, possibly?

mmm yes, i was thinking his name was al, but i knew that was al sharpton haha thanks!
